Please share your opinions here on age differences in teen dating. Is age just a number, or should you stay close to your own age? How many years is too much?

i perfer someone around my age and in school too, more in common and somewhat in that place in life
i once dated someone older me, it wasn't really working out because i was in school and wanted to go somewhere in life and he was done with school and didnt even have a job yet, always @ home being a bum, i couldnt stand him anymore

thats what u think...i have one friend who always dates guys older than her but in the end it never works cause there friends are getting married so than they want someone they can marry and get up leaving bc shes still not young and not stable in life

my gf is 3 years older then me... which proves that age dun matter if 2 ppl can be on the same maturity level and have the same intresests, which would allow them to have fun together

age is just a number for those who r over 19...
its kind of disgusting shell i say if ur 16 and the guy your "dating" is 20-25
what a man who is 20 and older can find in a girl who is like 15 16...even 17
once we r over 16, then our mentality changes and we become even more mature mentaly
but still i think age is not just a number when ur 14-18
i think you will feel unconfortable if for example you are with a guy that is 4 years older then you,has way more experiance wich btw everyone has that but still not enoigh
so your with a guy that is 4 years older,has way more experiance and knowladge then you do, it wouldent be interesting for him to talk to you
he would think your empty and alll boring
same for girls btw
for me 2-3 years is okay

I am really a believer that age doesn't matter. But I think that really applies with the older you get. Like a 25 year old and a 30 year old, no big deal.
But at the teenage years, you go through so many changes and just a few years difference you are very different emotionally.

But if you two feel that you connect well, all the power to you!

I prefer to date guys older than me but not over 23. Cuz older than 23 are men, and at this age they just need to fuk... oooor a serious relationship but not with girls that are around 15-17 years old. I can't date a guy younger than me or my age i dunno the reason for that but i just feel weird with them.

and dont forget that sometimes when lets say a girl that is 14-15 or even 16 loves(or atleast she thinks she dose) this guy that is so much older then her,and then she ends up getting disapointed becuase some people often confuse love for lust,and lust only lasts 2-3 weeks
after that its just boring.

i would want sumone older then me or same age at least...not that much older though..i think the most i'd go is 3 years older cuz my older sister is 4 years older then me...so if i were to date older then that it would be like dating one of her friends :S lol which i just find a little weird

Age doesn't matter, it just comes, if you look really hard, 'that guy, or a girl' will just follow along.

Personally, I just want to fuck, and have philosophical like discussions, you know, none of that cheesy bullshit, just straight up people. You know? I've noticed that people tend to get more real once they fall into a depression, maybe I ought to find me an emo girl, well, at least, that seems like a logical solution to my problem...
